The 6 track EP is the band’s second release, which follows their 2010 debut release Soul’s Reflection. My Escapade will also play an all ages North-West Coast show at Somerset Surf Club on Saturday, 19 March and another over-18s show in Launceston at Irish Murphy’s on Thursday, 24 March.
The band will officially launch Painted Faces on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Brisbane’s popular live music venue The Beetle Bar, to coincide with the global digital release date.

“Soul’s Reflection was a great first EP for us,” explains frontman Jason Lucas, “but we weren’t happy to leave it any longer as our only release. We’re really excited about getting out and showing Australia what we’ve been working on over the last year. Our ambition with this EP was to get in to the studio and record some raw sounding songs more reflective of who we are and where we are at as a band” says Jason Lucas, no bells or whistles, just our songs played start to finish”.

The band teamed up with award winning engineer Paul McKercher (Eskimo Joe, Sarah Blasko, You Am I) and UK mastering engineer John Davis (Florence and the Machine, U2) for their new project, and the result is an EP the band is proud to call their own. “The time we spent creating these new songs was inspiring,” says drummer Simon Lucas. “We spent a few weekends away from home in an old farmhouse, where our only company was each other and the music. We’d get up each morning and just write music all day, record demos, and just enjoy the surroundings we were in.”

To accompany the release of the anticipated follow-up album, Painted Faces, My Escapade will be touring their new tunes through Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra, and many more places across the country (see current dates below).

After the success of their debut EP Soul’s Reflection, My Escapade teamed up with acclaimed Australian producer, Paul McKercher to mix the band’s follow-up EP, which is set to be released in March 2011. The new single ‘Of A Future’ is a prequel to the forthcoming EP and will be released on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, along with a brand new video clip.
